How to Sell Nikken

I have had a few people searching my site for information about how to sell Nikken products and asking if they can sell Nikken on the Internet.

Many people think that they can’t sell MLM products online and that may be true depending on the particular MLM company. Nikken does allow Internet Marketing within certain strict limits. I have been selling Nikken products online for about 2 years and it accounts for nearly all of my product sales.

How to Sell Nikken Online

There are rules to selling Nikken products online and they are intended to protect both Nikken and the distributor from any complaints from regulatory agencies.

  • Any pictures of Nikken products have to be hosted by Nikken
  • Any orders for Nikken products have to go through the Nikken.com website
  • You can’t have any of your own descriptions of the product
  • NO MEDICAL CLAIMS

That’s pretty much it. I know, it what’s left, right? There is actually enough room left to be able to sell Nikken on the Internet. As I said, I have been doing it for about 2 years. The HTML “img” tag gives you the ability to display images hosted at another location and Nikken has images for all of their products, so their really is no need to have your own. As for all orders going through Nikken, that is a huge convenience for anyone wanting to sell product online. Secure shopping carts and an online payment processor are headaches. Thank Nikken for taking care of that for you.

That leaves how to sell product without giving much of a description about it. Instead of talking about the product, talk about the technology. People need to know about magnets, what they are and what they can do, and you can do that without talking about the product. The same thing goes for the importance of good nutrition and quality sleep. If you sell your customer on the benefits of magnets in general then they will click on the image of a magnetic product to get a specific description. You can see how I’m doing it at my product site, www.getmywellness.com. And remember, whenever you are talking about a health-related product from an MLM company, Nikken or otherwise, never make medical claims.

Where to Sell Nikken Online

As I already said, all orders for Nikken products have to go through the Nikken website. The rules out distributors selling products on sites like Ebay or Craigslist, and I have heard about Nikken contacting people when they find out. Of course, you will find Nikken products on those sites but they probably won’t be listed by distributors, so you can’t go to Nikken if there is a problem.

The best way to sell Nikken products for normal people is to have a blog. You can talk about the benefits of the technology and display the pictures of the product from Nikken. Nikken has also made some of their professionally done videos available on YouTube and they are easy to embed in a blog post. That is what I recommend and teach to anyone who joins my team and wants to do this online.

One final thing. My experience is that Nikken will work with you. They understand that the Internet is a great way to get the word out about the products. My site wasn’t always compliant and the first letter that I received from them sounded a little scary. When I called them though, the were friendly and told me exactly what I needed to do to be compliant and they gave me the time to get the changes made. Everyone I have talked to with Nikken has been helpful.

If you found the helpful or have any comments, please share them in a comment below. I would love to hear what you have to say. Also, please share this with your followers on the social networks.

Can’t Become Wealthy in MLM

One of my current prospects sent me a link today to this story about two people who quit Nikken. They feel that it is a myth that people can become financially independent as a Nikken distributor, and it’s Nikken’s fault. I want to address some of their key points.

First, it is very possible to become financially independent with Nikken. I have met a few and know of many more. My local Royal Diamond upline, Jack and Sheri Clarke, then way up at the top of Nikken income earners: Dave Johnson and Reid Nelson. I missed an opportunity to meet Dennis Estes when he was in town last year. The cool thing about these people is that they are just regular people. You would never know that they are wealthy.

They came to 3 conclusions as to why Nikken’s marketing plan doomed them to failure:

  • Nikken does not concern itself with sales but is predominantly interested in the recruitment of people
  • The customers are primarily the Distributors themselves
  • The Nikken products are not officially approved and also expensive. This combination means that the products are very difficult so sell to ordinary consumers.

It is true that Nikken, and all other network marketing companies, are more concerned with recruiting people than with sales. They aren’t in the business of selling their product. That’s what the distributors are in business for. McDonald’s doesn’t sell hamburgers either. They recruit businesspeople who open franchises to sell hamburgers.

It is probably also true that the distributors make up the largest percentage of customers, which is unfortunate. But that isn’t Nikken’s fault. It is the distributor’s job to find customers and sell the product. That’s what a distributor is. Another interesting point here. The same prospect told me that she was talking to other Nikken distributors today about internet marketing. They told her it wasn’t possible to sell Nikken’s products online because they have to be demonstrated first. I haven’t done a product demonstration in years and I am finding more and more customers online all the time.

As for the third conclusion, I think I just partially answered that one. I am selling these products online to regular people every day. $60 for a pair of magnetic insoles that last 10 years looks very inexpensive compared to the $60 shoes that people buy and wear out within 3 years. A $1500 magnetic mattress pad to resolve sleep problems doesn’t sound like much compared to what people are spending on hi-def flat-screen TVs. I’m not sure what they mean by “officially approved” other than by something like the FDA. Vioxx was approved by the FDA. Do I really need to say anything more?

The rest of their gripes apply to all MLM companies, not just Nikken. The problem really comes down to the sponsoring distributors. They are targeting regular people who don’t know what it means to run a business, and then don’t teach them once they are in. If they did, it might be harder to recruit new people but they would get better results from the ones who did join. As a distributor with a network marketing company you are a self-employed business owner. You are also your number one salesperson and your job is two sell two categories of product. One is the actual product or service that the company offers, and the other is the business opportunity. Old-school uplines recruit new people through hype and then teach the new people how to recruit others through hype. Once the hype wears off, chances are that the new distributor will disappear. That’s why most people fail in network marketing and there is such a high turnover.

So, if you are interested in “joining the club”, getting excited, and hyping up rookies, then please find another sponsor. On the other hand, if you are interested in owning your own business, building a team of responsible business owners who want to run a real business selling remarkable products, then I would like to talk to you.

Nikken and Energy Medicine

I have been reading a lot about energy medicine recently and it has me very excited again about my Nikken business.

I probably can’t say that Nikken’s products are specifically energy medicine because “medicine” is the domain of doctors, pharmaceutical companies, and the FDA. I am definitely not of that group. When I say that Nikken’s products are a part of energy medicine I mean the wider view of medicine, like when you drink orange juice for the vitamin C to fight a cold.

I went to an energy medicine seminar a few weeks ago.  I had no idea that there was so much research already done about the human energy field.  Everyone has heard of EEGs and ECGs that measure the electrical fields of the brain and the heart.  I don’t think most people are aware that there are also MEGs and MCGs that measure the magnetic fields of the brain and the heart.  The amazing thing about these magnetic versions is that the subject doesn’t have to have electrodes attached to their body.  The magnetic fields can be measured up to a few feet from the body.

Since the seminar I have been reading Energy Medicine: The Scientific Basis by James Oschman. There is a lot of great information in that book about the research into why energy techniques work.  One of the people that Oschman mentions is Robert Becker.  He wrote about how the connective tissue that surrounds the nerves, the perineural system, carries its own electrical signals separate from the nerves themselves.  It is responsible for healing injuries and is responsive to magnetic fields.

This body of information is growing every day and as it expands it becomes more mainstream.   These scientists are creating a scientific basis for how magnetic and far-infrared energies can aid the bodies healing processes. This has me very excited about my Nikken business.

As this research expands and becomes more accepted by the medical profession, the demand for energy-based technologies will grow.  Nikken is the best placed company to meet that demand, which puts Nikken distributors in a great place to grow a very profitable business.
