Mike Klingler Understands Internet Marketing

Mike Klingler hosted an amazing webinar last month about how to create a marketing funnel for people involved in Internet Marketing. He is one of the very few people I have seen involved in Internet Marketing who understands both the importance of a marketing funnel and how to put one together to so that it actually generates income.

If you are marketing a business online, whether it is a traditional, affiliate, or MLM business, then  you really need to check out his Market Funnel Mastery course that he is teach over the next several months. He has extended his special offer of giving it away to people who join Renegade Professional for the next few days. If you are just getting started with online marketing or need some help to get it going, you will find the training in Renegade Professional very helpful.

I’ve studied Loral Langemeier’s books and courses for a while and attended some of her live seminars. One of the big points that she teaches is the need for a marketing funnel, or a sales funnel, depending on what you want to call it. Either way, the idea is to interest your prospect with a free or low-cost item to get them into the funnel. Then, through building a trusting relationship with them, you can upsell them to your more expensive products and services. Loral teaches that if you don’t have a sales funnel then you don’t really have a business. This is especially true for Internet Marketers and Mike Klingler gets it. He’s been working this model for a few years now, so this isn’t just some textbook teaching, this is his real life experience.

If you know who Diyana (Didi) Alcheva is, she says this training will shave two years off your learning curve and significantly speed up your business success. Mike Klingler himself calls this training “epic” and that it is the best, most significant training that he has ever put together, and it’s free.

Get it before it’s too late! I’m glad I did.

Online Home Based Business – Are You Looking for One?

Are you looking to start an online home based business? These days it is very easy to set up a business online and start making money pretty quickly. An online home based business has many benefits over one that isn’t on the internet. The biggest is that it opens your market way beyond your local community. You can build a national or international business without having to leave your home.  WordPress makes it easy for just about anyone to create websites and the social networking sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter make it easy to get the word out about them.

If you don’t already have a home based business to take online, I recommend that you look at getting started with a network marketing company that is supportive of online marketing. Not all companies are and most of the companies that do support it  are restrictive to some degree, so make sure you know exactly what they allow before you decide which one to go with.

The online home based business gurus all recommend that you focus on building your brand, not your company’s. I agree that you need to build your own brand. Companies come and go, especially if you decide to jump in with some of these new “pre-launch” upstarts. If a company folds then you have your brand intact and you can easily move to another company. Also, people join people, not companies. To build your team online,  people need to learn who you are, develop a trust in you, and then they will decide to join your team.

As important as it is to build your own brand, it is also important that you start generating a retail profit to support yourself right away because building your own brand will take time. Retail profits are a lot easier to generate if the company allows you to market the products online. If you can sell product online you need to be aware of any limits to where your company will ship product. Anyone in the world can find your website but can you sell to anywhere in the world?

Nikken, the company that I chose to work with, supports internet marketing enough for me to sell online. They do have limits but they can all be worked around. For example, I cannot host any pictures  or have any descriptions of the products. The picture restriction actually works to my benefit because I can link to and display their pictures without taking up any of my disk space. Selling without descriptions was a little tricky at first because how do you sell something if you can’t tell them what it is? Well, if you’ve been involved with selling very long you know that benefits are much stronger than a description of the product itself. You can see what I mean at http://www.getmywellness.com/magnets.

I have one other restriction with Nikken – I can only sell in the US and Canada. That isn’t really much of a restriction at all because all of the US and Canada is a lot of people and they mostly speak English (so I don’t have to deal with multiple languages).

Nikken is a well established company, not a recent upstart, so they will be around for a long time. Because of that I can safely build websites with my brand and websites with the Nikken brand at the same time and benefit from both long term.

Facing Our Terror Barrier

Bob Proctor says that if he gets an opportunity that doesn’t create some amount of fear then he doesn’t do it. Loral Langemeier says that it should make you want to throw up. The good opportunities should stretch you, take you out of your comfort zone. Stepping out of your comfort zone, facing your Terror Barrier as Bob Proctor puts it, causes you to grow, and if you aren’t growing then you’re dying. That’s how the wealthy do it.

My wife and I are rapidly approaching a choice point in our lives. Do we go forward with our business and all of the related big plans and dreams, or do we fall back, keep the job, and shrink our life back down to what the job will support?

Going back means staying with the job, taking my daughter out of the new school that she loves, and giving up the vision for time and money freedom because a job can’t support them. The difficulty with doing that is that we already have a taste what life can be like.

Going forward means facing a lot of fear. It requires leaving the presumed security of a job, and all of its associated benefits, to open up time to grow our business. My wife also brought up our parents. What do we tell them, because they definitely won’t support the idea of quitting a good job for something they see as very risky. But their dependence on a job is why they are still working and wondering if they will be able to afford retirement. A job doesn’t guarantee any security anymore, either that you will be able to keep the job, keep benefits, or be able to afford retirement. A job can be risky now.

Going forward is a big change. We are completely responsible for our results. It’s not like being in a job where we can coast along this week knowing that the paycheck will be there no matter what.

There are two ways to respond to the fear. We can let it win and we turn back, or we can use it to drive us forward.

I can tell you what we’re going to do. We’re going for it. It’s more exciting to go forward, and life is supposed to be exciting. We get to look at things differently. When we want something, there are two questions to answer. How do we write this off as a business expense (anyone want to take a trip pre-tax)? What do we have to do to make the money to pay for it. Change “can we afford it” into “how do we afford it”.

What are we doing? We are building network marketing businesses with Nikken, a wellness technology company, and Send Out Cards, an online greeting card company. We also supplement our income through affiliate programs with several of our mentors, such as Loral Langemeier, Bob Proctor, and Bob Doyle. We are also both massage therapists and can fall back on that if we need or want to. I think we are in great shape to succeed.

What about you? Do you have any dreams and desires that can’t be supported by what you are currently doing? Have you ever wondered “what if”? Join us on this exciting journey.

Tired of the Pre-Launch Nonsense

Have you seen all this stuff in your email and on Twitter about all of the new MLM companies in pre-launch? The Trump Network, Evolv, and YOUnique Wealth are three of them that I know a little bit about. Pre-launch means that these companies haven’t officially launched yet, so they are untried business opportunities with untried products.

This all makes me so glad that I’m with a time-tested company like Nikken that has been around for 35 years. When I started my business 3 years ago I knew that I was promoting a product with an established track record of helping people get real benefits.

Most of the new business opportunities that I have heard about in the past 6 months or so are selling new nutritional products, and they all say that they are going to revolutionize wellness. The reality is that some of them will stick and others won’t. The biggest challenge that these companies will face is that there are so many other nutrition-based network marketing companies already here, and more entering the game all the time. Nikken has an organic, wholefood-based nutritional line that I think is excellent. I don’t put a lot of effort in marketing it though because the nutrition market is so flooded with other products, and it isn’t what makes Nikken stand out anyway.

If you are looking to start a new business, you will have more success with a company with something unique, something that stands out from the crowd. Don’t get me wrong, I like nutritional supplements and I think they are absolutely critical, especially with all of the noise going on about the various flu strains running about. No matter what they say about it being new and revolutionary, a new nutritional drink is still a nutritional drink.

If you want a business that has withstood the test of time and does stand out from the crowd, take a look at Nikken. There isn’t another company like them.

Why People Fail in Network Marketing

Many people have tried to build a network marketing business and failed. When they do, they write off network marketing and say that it doesn’t work.

If that’s the case, then why do some people become very successful and wealthy?

I think that the biggest reason is that people treat it more like a hobby than as a business.  In a lot of cases people will get all caught up in the hype of a hotel meeting and join without really understanding what it is that they got themselves into.

So, how can you be successful in network marketing? Treat it like a real business. Create a corporate structure around the business and give your new company a name. This will give you the tax breaks that businesses get and give you more credibility when you talk to people about your product.

The next thing that you need to is create a simple business plan and revenue model. This may seem like a lot of work but it really isn’t, and it is essential to keep you on track. How much money do you need to make?  How much product do you need to sell to reach that goal?  Your business plan and revenue model help you figure that out. If you don’t know how to do this, then get Loral Langemeier‘s book, The Millionaire Maker’s Guide to Creating a Cash Machine for Life or her audio program, Building, Leading, and Protecting Your Business.  They will help you get started.

Now you are in a position to go out and learn to properly market your product and business opportunity. You also have a new language that you can use when you approach new people that you want to join you in your business. Instead of depending on hype, people will join you because you have a sound plan for growing you business.  Your new partners will be more likely to stay with you instead of dropping out because the hype wore off or running to the newest thing to come along.

Glimpses of Network Marketing Truth

If you have been approached about network marketing business opportunities very much, then you have heard a lot of the so-called “lies” of network marketing.  It’s easy, it isn’t selling, the products sell themselves, and so on.

I was at an in-home meeting at my upline’s house recently to listen to the top earner in my company speak about how he got started.  I’m not a big fan of in-home meetings but I’m happy to go when there will be someone that I’d like to hear speak.  Needless to say, they were surprised to see me.

Dave has been with this network marketing company for 18 or 19 years and has been with other companies before that, so he has a lot of experience with network marketing.  He has made about 40 million dollars in that time with our company, so he’s worth listening to.  Here’s what I was able to pick out from what he said.

The first thing he did was acknowledge that we do sell product and our opportunity.  It isn’t sharing and the product doesn’t sell itself.  It’s rare that you hear traditional network marketers admit that we are salespeople.  A soft sell works better than a hard sell long term.

He sells the product by demonstrating it on people.  In out meeting last night he had a hand-full of people come to the front and used a couple of our magnetic products on them to show the benefits they offer.  He also shared stories of other times that he demonstrated the product with amazing results. As you probably already know, stories sell.  He had some really good stories about using the product on people.

The last thing that really stood out to me was that you want to pick a company that has unique products with enough of a margin so that you can make some money.  In other words you don’t want to sell products or services that your customer can pick up at a store just down the road.  With products that are  common, the margin has to be very small for them to be competitive, which means you have to sell a lot more to make money.  When you get into having to sell a lot of volume it will be very difficult to compete with an actual store.

I thought the evening was well worth my time and I was glad to get some good information.  I hope it helps you in your marketing efforts.
