Cooperation vs Competition

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Do you prefer to cooperate or compete in business? How is it working for you?

I was listening to Bob Proctor’s Six Minutes to Success again and he was talking about cooperation. Cooperation is Napolean Hill’s 11th and final characteristic of great leaders that he writes about in Think and Grow Rich.

In this episode of Six Minutes, Bob Proctor talks about this new economy and how it is based more on cooperation than competition. He says that when people come together in cooperation they create real power, when two minds work cooperatively they automatically create a third mind. Napolean Hill dedicates a whole chapter in Think and Grow Rich to Masterminding, a team of people all cooperating to work toward a common goal. He says that it is the only way to create great power.

Bob Proctor also states that amateurs compete while professionals create and that the most creative are the ones that cooperate the most.

If you would like to create more power in your financial situation in this new economy, I invite you to find out more about working with me. Let’s  cooperate on building success for everyone this year.

Facing Our Terror Barrier

Bob Proctor says that if he gets an opportunity that doesn’t create some amount of fear then he doesn’t do it. Loral Langemeier says that it should make you want to throw up. The good opportunities should stretch you, take you out of your comfort zone. Stepping out of your comfort zone, facing your Terror Barrier as Bob Proctor puts it, causes you to grow, and if you aren’t growing then you’re dying. That’s how the wealthy do it.

My wife and I are rapidly approaching a choice point in our lives. Do we go forward with our business and all of the related big plans and dreams, or do we fall back, keep the job, and shrink our life back down to what the job will support?

Going back means staying with the job, taking my daughter out of the new school that she loves, and giving up the vision for time and money freedom because a job can’t support them. The difficulty with doing that is that we already have a taste what life can be like.

Going forward means facing a lot of fear. It requires leaving the presumed security of a job, and all of its associated benefits, to open up time to grow our business. My wife also brought up our parents. What do we tell them, because they definitely won’t support the idea of quitting a good job for something they see as very risky. But their dependence on a job is why they are still working and wondering if they will be able to afford retirement. A job doesn’t guarantee any security anymore, either that you will be able to keep the job, keep benefits, or be able to afford retirement. A job can be risky now.

Going forward is a big change. We are completely responsible for our results. It’s not like being in a job where we can coast along this week knowing that the paycheck will be there no matter what.

There are two ways to respond to the fear. We can let it win and we turn back, or we can use it to drive us forward.

I can tell you what we’re going to do. We’re going for it. It’s more exciting to go forward, and life is supposed to be exciting. We get to look at things differently. When we want something, there are two questions to answer. How do we write this off as a business expense (anyone want to take a trip pre-tax)? What do we have to do to make the money to pay for it. Change “can we afford it” into “how do we afford it”.

What are we doing? We are building network marketing businesses with Nikken, a wellness technology company, and Send Out Cards, an online greeting card company. We also supplement our income through affiliate programs with several of our mentors, such as Loral Langemeier, Bob Proctor, and Bob Doyle. We are also both massage therapists and can fall back on that if we need or want to. I think we are in great shape to succeed.

What about you? Do you have any dreams and desires that can’t be supported by what you are currently doing? Have you ever wondered “what if”? Join us on this exciting journey.

Better than a 401k

In the final stages of their transformation from Joseph Wealth Systems to YOUnique Wealth, they have come up with something that is better than a 401k. It has always been about saving by investing in private gold (which means you own it, not hold it for the government) but the amount that you had to pay every month changed with the price of gold. Now you will invest a fixed amount every month, just like you do with your 401k, and they send you gold and / or silver.

That needs an example. Say you put in $250 a month and the gold costs $140. The first month you will get one gold medallion at $140 and the remaining $110 rolls over for the next month. The second month you put in your $250, add in the $110 from the previous month, and you have $360. They will send you 2 gold medallions ($280) and roll the remaining $80 over. In case you didn’t know, your 401k works the same way because you can only buy whole shares. If you ever look at your account you will always see some amount of cash sitting in some kind of money market.

So far it looks just like a 401k, right? So how is it better? You actually get your shares back to hold in your own hands, and those shares are something tangible and precious in and of themselves. With a regular 401k, your shares are pieces of paper issued by a company that may or may not be here tomorrow. Think of Enron, or more recently, GM. Gold and silver will still have value regardless of whether YOUnique is still around in 10 years or not.

If you would like to find out more, there is a monthly Big Day event starting soon, August 12th, at Noon EDT. There will be short informational calls every other hour starting at that time. The calls are typically 15 to 20 minutes.  Find the schedule, get on the calls, and get involved here.

Here are the two videos that are on the Big Day page. The first one is Bob Proctor.

I have to let you know that I am not a financial adviser.  I just know that gold and silver has held value a whole lot better than dollars recently.

An MLM Company Worth its Value in Gold

How much do you buy in gold every month?

Are you someone who knows the value of diversifying your assets?  If so, then you probably understand the value in having some of your money in gold.

You probably also know that being self-employed in an MLM is a great way to improve your own economy.

Wouldn’t it by cool to be able to join these two?  Well, YOUnique Wealth has.  Formerly known as Joseph Wealth System, YOUnique Wealth is a network marketing company, or MLM, that sells gold.  Most network marketing companies require you to be on an autoship program, but with YOUnique, your autoship is actually an investment in gold to increase your wealth.

Now is a great time to get started with this company.  On June 17th they will have a “Big Day” where the principles of the company along with Gerry Robert and Bob Proctor will be on the phone to help you build your team.  Starting at 12 Noon EDT, they will be on the phone every 2 hours until 12 Noon on the 18th.  All you have to do is get your prospects on the phone and let these guys do the work for you.

Wealthy People Like Network Marketing

Several people known for being wealthy have recently spoken out about Network  Marketing.

Bob Proctor (The Secret) says “it’s probably the most moral form of compensation I have ever seen.”

Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad Poor Dad) recommends Network Marketing because of the low startup costs and the opportunity to learn the important business skills to be wealthy.

Donald Trump (you know who he is) is apparently starting his own network marketing.  He says it allows people to “opt-out” of the current recession.

So, are you involved in network marketing?  Are you ready to build your own business to create time and money freedom for yourself?  Or are you content to slave away all day and take home the few pennies that the government doesn’t take at the end of the day.

If you are ready, I have three great opportunities for you.

First is Nikken.  If you are interested in wellness, your own and everyone else’s, then you owe it to yourself to take a look.

Second is an online greeting card company.  Do you send a lot of cards for birthdays, holidays, or just because?  You will like this one.

And the newest one I have learned about is a company that sells GOLD.  What a great way to deal with the current economy and your future wealth.  Make money by investing in gold and helping others invest in gold too.

What are you waiting for?  Get started on your future right now!
