Getting Noticed in Internet Marketing Through Blogging

Your goal when marketing is to get noticed. In Internet Marketing you want to get noticed by the search engines to increase your chances of being noticed by more real people. One key that the search engines look for when ranking your website is your quantity of quality content and an easy way to increase the amount of content you have on your site is through blogging.

Every post you create on your blog adds another page to your site. When you tailor each of your blog posts to a specific keyword related to a particular aspect of your business you will build up a significant resource about your business that will attract a lot of visitors over a short period of time.

It is easy to get started with blogging. Google allows you to create a free blog at www.blogger.com and WordPress’s free blogs are at www.wordpress.com. With a little more effort and a place to put it you can host your own blog at your own domain. I have four blogs under my own domains hosted by HostMonster using WordPress’s free software and have been very happy.

Wealthy People Like Network Marketing

Several people known for being wealthy have recently spoken out about Network  Marketing.

Bob Proctor (The Secret) says “it’s probably the most moral form of compensation I have ever seen.”

Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad Poor Dad) recommends Network Marketing because of the low startup costs and the opportunity to learn the important business skills to be wealthy.

Donald Trump (you know who he is) is apparently starting his own network marketing.  He says it allows people to “opt-out” of the current recession.

So, are you involved in network marketing?  Are you ready to build your own business to create time and money freedom for yourself?  Or are you content to slave away all day and take home the few pennies that the government doesn’t take at the end of the day.

If you are ready, I have three great opportunities for you.

One Key to Success in Network Marketing

I have blogged before about how attitude is a key to success in network marketing.  I have another key for you.  A lot of people look to network marketing as if it is a get-rich-quick-scheme and jump around from one company to another looking for the one that will do it for them.  But it never works.

When picking the right network marketing company you have to first look at the product.  The product is the key.  Is it something that you are interested in?  Is it something that you do or will use personally.  Is it something that you understand?  If you are not in alignment with your product then you won’t have much success trying to sell it to others.

For example, we are not on a natural gas line so we don’t use natural gas.  I wouldn’t be very successful selling natural gas because as soon as somebody asks me something about it I would have to admit that I don’t use the product.  On the other hand, I am a massage therapist and very interested in wellness.  I use wellness products and I can get excited about them.  At this point the products start to feed my attitude toward the products and the business and I have a much better shot at success.

So find a company that sells products that interest you then investigate the opportunity to see if it is right for you.

Is Network Marketing Really a Pyramid Scheme?

Have you heard that network marketing is a pyramid scheme?  Yeah, I know, that idea has been around forever.  Did you know that people used to think the same thing about franchises?  Apparently enough people got over it because you are probably within a few minutes of a franchise restaurant now.  I think we are getting past that idea in network marketing too, but it does still linger with some people.  I had a customer recently criticize network marketing as a scam where a bunch of people get to sit around doing nothing and collect a check every month from the efforts of their downlines.  That does sound like a pyramid scheme and there might be some people who try to get by on that but I don’t think they last very long.

First of all, real pyramid schemes are illegal because members make money only by signing people up.  That’s it.  There’s no product or any other benefit to being a member.  The last people to sign up before the scheme collapses get screwed over.  That’s not network marketing.

A network marketing company provides a very clear purpose.  The one I am in, Nikken, offers wellness products.  My wife is with a company that offers custom greeting cards online for a fraction of the cost of a card from a card shop.  And for all those people above me who get a little bit of the money from my sales?  It works just like in the corporate sales world where district managers, regional managers, and VPs all get paid.  The people in my upline work their butts off providing training and support for their many downlines.  They put in a lot of effort and are always available.  The deserve to be compensated for that.

The great benefit of the network marketing plan for you just getting started is that you can advance in the organization as high as you want. In a traditional sales organization you have to wait for one of the people above you to leave the organization before you can advance.  That’s a pyramid.  Network marketing doesn’t have a pyramid structure.  When you join my team there is nothing to stop you from advancing beyond me.  There are at least two places in my upline where the sponsored consultant outranks their sponsor.  That won’t happen in a corporate structure and definitely not in a pyramid.

Opportunity for Employment vs. Network Marketing

Do you know anyone who is looking for an opportunity for employment because they have recently been down-sized, right-sized or just laid off? The unemployment rate has been rising so there is a good chance you know somebody who has been affected.

When looking for a new job do you look for job offers that use phrases like “self-starter”, “highly motivated”, “capable of working independently”, and “energetic”? If these words really describe you and you are tired of having to look for a new job every time the economy turns a little sour then you need to consider starting your own business in network marketing. For someone who can honestly be described as highly motivated, no mere job could possibly be big enough to fully realize their ambition and enthusiasm. If you are a self-starter and highly motivated then you have what it takes to be successful in your own enterprise. So get started today and you can learn the rest of the skills you need as you go. The important thing is to get started so that you can create your own job security.

Stay-at-Home Mom Wants a Stay-at-Home Job

Are you a stay-at-home mom who thinks you need a job? Do you desire to contribute to your family’s income but not lose your precious time with your kids? Or do you need something to do now that your kids have started preschool? Instead of a job, start your own business in network marketing. With network marketing you can build a significant income and only have to put in a few hours a day. You can even get started with only a few hours a week if that’s all you have. When your kids get to the point where they are in school all day, you already have a business built that you can work full-time if you want. Or you can continue to do it part-time and enjoy your new time freedom. That choice is yours.

My wife is a stay-at-home mom and it has been very important to her to be able to stay home and raise our kids. Now that both kids are in preschool at least a couple mornings a week she has the time to put some effort into building a network marketing business. She can work the business on her own schedule so that she can be at the school to help out if she wants to. She is her own boss, so she doesn’t need to ask for time off.

Women, especially women with small kids, are natural networkers. You probably know at least a few other moms in your area. Talk to the other moms at your kids’ school and you will probably find that some of them are already involved in network marketing. If they aren’t then they are probably like you and looking for a way to earn a little extra income.

Using Scarcity to Market a Home-Based Business

Have you ever wondered how you can use scarcity to market your home-based business without lying?

You’ve probably seen offers where, if you act this month, you can join for a special low price. You go back in a month and see the same offer. And even after six months the only thing that has changed is the deadline. You begin to see that the scarcity they are trying to create isn’t real. It seems more like a cheap marketing ploy because there really is no scarcity. You also see it with TV commercials where the first 100 people to call will receive this special price. You know that everybody gets that price.

Scarcity, when it is real, can be a very effective marketing tool.  Nobody wants to miss out on something good.  So how do you create true scarcity to market your home-based business ? One way in network marketing is to figure out how many new people you can properly support in a week. For example, I still have a full time job and 2 small children at home, so I feel that I can only help 2 or 3 new people get started in a week. To use scarcity in my marketing I can say that I only have 2 places open for people to join my team this week. If more than 2 people respond I can tell them that they can join, but they will have to wait until next week before I have time free to work with them. Now you have a waiting list, which adds to the feeling of scarcity.

Your Home-Based Business Isn’t About Selling

Do you know what you’re really in business for? A home-based business isn’t about selling.

One of the reasons that network marketing businesses don’t grow very fast is because most people in network marketing don’t really know what their business is really about. Contrary to what they might think, they are not in business to sell a product. Nobody wants to buy a product.

The purpose of your business is to connect with people. Get to know your customers and find out what their concerns and needs are before you ever even mention what your product is. When your customers know that you care about them and have their best interests at heart then it is much easier to sell your product.

For example, when I got started with Nikken I didn’t try to sell anything to my parents. They travel often and stay in a nice 5th wheel camper and became concerned about the water quality at the campsites. That’s when I suggested that they try my company’s water filter. Now I’m addressing a need they have instead of just pushing a product. Waiting until my parents had a need has allowed me to sell not just one, but three, of our water filters because now my brother and my grandmother have bought units based on their experience with my parent’s unit.

It is best to be patient, get to know your customers and have a genuine interest in them. Eventually they will have a need for what you are selling.

Key to Success in a Home Based Business

The key to success in a home based business is attitude.

The most important thing you can do to grow your business during tough economic times is to keep a positive attitude. If you believe in a recession and act like you are in a recession then you will probably experience a recession. People who are thinking thoughts of recession cut back on a lot of their marketing and sales efforts. If they are not out marketing then they are not getting new customers, not making new sales, and therefore not making money. So of course they begin to experience a recession. On the other hand, if you act like the economy is great and you keep after the marketing and sales then you will experience a great economy. Have the attitude that business is great, that the cup is half full. Be happy and enthusiastic when talking to your prospects and you will give your prospects the impression that you are successful.

Your attitude tells your prospects and customers how successful you are.
